April 2018

Hello Everyone!

{Tess}

This is my Design Team Reveal for the new challenge over at More Than Words.

The word NATURE inspired me to scrap these photos of Tessie taken outside. We adore our little grand fur baby. Puppy sitting is so much fun. She is such great company and a wonderful little walking companion. She loves being outside in nature, digging holes, chewing her bone and playing with her toys. She will find a random spot in the garden, lay down, sun herself and sleep/doze. When she wakes she has a witching moment and does laps of the garden as fast as she can...its so funny to watch. We love her to bits.. Tessie the wonder dog. For the Creative Challenge we could use either an Animal Image or Animal print. on our creation.. The graphic also inspired me to scrap a cluster of photos.

The word inspiration for this month is "Nature"
and the
Creative Challenge is to use an Animal print or image,
you decide.

Join in, have fun and share with us.
So many fabulous prizes up for grabs.

Thanks for any messages you kindly leave.
Thanks also to a couple of beautiful new followers.

More Than Words Challenge
My design Team reveal for March

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Comfortable & Colour Combo

always

This is my Design Team  take for the new challenge at More Than Words Challenges for this month.
Very much outside of my comfort zone creating with these colours.
I decided to go with the purples and add a touch of gold.
A simple but very important quote/message for my daughter.
This quote inspired me to create a layout about my beautiful daughter
"Always be you, be beautiful and be comfortable in your own skin. Embrace yourself for all you are."
March 2018
This month   inspiration word is "COMFORTABLE" and the
Creative Challenge is a "Colour Combo" and we would like you  to use at least 3 of the colours.
A hint I was given when doing a colour challenge is to pick one colour and make that your predominant colour and add small touched of the other colours.

Stash busting again to create this. Its amazing what you can find when you start looking.
Some old Basic Grey papers again. Yes I loved Basic Grey so have quite the stash still.

 2Crafty Chipboard pieces.

A close up of the cluster and layers.
Blooms, chipboard and thread.
I have used Prima, D'Lish and Kaisercraft blooms in the cluster.
Embroidery thread is a good cluster filler, I have used a multi coloured  6 stand one. snipped into short pieces and each strand pulled apart, twisted and tucked into the cluster using tweezers.

Some beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard pieces altered by heat embossing and colouring with Versa Colour Gold Ink.

 More gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard.

A close up of the cluster.

I appreciate that you take the time to stop by and leave a comment. Thank you so much.
If you do visit and leave a comment I will stop by your blog and do the same. Its always exciting to check out new blogs. and see what everyone is creating.

More Than Words Challenges
My Design Team reveal  for the February Challenge

Hello Everyone!
Its February and time for a new challenge and this months is a beauty!

{Together Forever}

Forever inspired me to scrap this gorgeous photo of Sarah & Callum taken on their wedding day 27 months ago. School sweethearts and now newly weds they have so much love for each other. Our wish for them is to be blessed with lots of love, happiness, good times, good health and as the years pass they grow even more in love and will be as my title says "Together Forever". For the creative challenge I have added chipboard and Rub--On hearts in the clusters.
Stash busting again  to create this very minimalistic layout. I dug out all my old rubons and used  what ones still worked to create some of the background details.  The title is an old Daisy D Rub on...they are really good quality and still work perfectly after sitting in my stash for years. Finished off with some gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard hearts  which were all coloured with inks.
Photo taken by the talented Jade Norwood.

The graphic for this months challenge at More Than Words is just gorgeous.
The inspiration word is "Forever" and the
creative challenge  is to "Put a little heart in your art!"

Close up of the small and simple cluster - rub on, chipboard hearts and some thread.

I have added some Rub On onto the photo.

Really love the 2Crafty Chipboard words - forever -simply inked black.

We love seeing everyone's challenge  interpretation.
Read the rules to make sure your creation is eligible and share it with us on our blog page.
Five amazing prizes are up for grabs from  the wonderful sponsors.

 More Than Words Mini  Challenge
My Design Team reveal for the  January Challenge
"WISH"

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am really enjoying creating cards for the mini  MTW challenges.
They are in my pile when a family member or friend has a birthday, or for any occasion.
I love the idea of giving a hand made card.
This months word is "WISH".
A wonderful challenge to enter and a great prize is up for grabs. We would love you to play along.
Simply use the word "WISH" on a card, tag, ATC or  you can now create a postcard.
Share on our Facebook page by 31st January.

A close up of the details.
Created on Kraft. I used  a 6x6  TCW dot stencil and white paint to create the spotty background.
I stamped a Kraft tag and roughly painted around the edges. Old flowers from my stash, Prima, Dlish, and Kaiserkraft. A bit of gauze tucked into the cluster. 2Crafty Chipboard  "Best Wishes", simply inked, perfect for adding to a card.  And its done!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. I enjoy reading all your lovely comments.

More Than Words Challenges
My January Design Team Layout
"Birthday & Tags"

A big welcome to my blog for 2018.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

{Happy Birthday}

This is my take on the new challenge at More Than Words Challenges.
I have decided to scrap an A4 size layout this month similar to an Art Journal page size.
I love creating on this size so you may see lots  more of them  throughout the year.

Gorgeous graphics and an awesome challenge to start 2018
. The  word inspiration is "Birthday" and the creative challenge is "Tags" put at least 2 on it!

I covered the tag with black &white polka dot paper, placed a flair on it and some twine to help slide it in an out as it had a bit of journaling on it.

A close up of the photo I cut out, the Mickey Mouse template and the "Happy Times" flair on a tag

Showing another tag  covered in paper and washi tape. and I used word strips to add some journaling.

A close up of the journal tag.

Another tag!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I love reading you lovely comments.

My Design Team reveal for the January Kraft+ Challenge

No automatic alt text available.

Hello my Krafty friends!
Welcome to my blog for another year of creating and krafting.

This month I have made a card for the challenge at Kraft+

I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Inks. Added some torn Calico and patterned paper for another layer and added some stitching for texture. The cup and saucer were cut from my Mum's Circuit,  I coloured it with more distress inks. I cut the 2 pieces of ribbon and soaked them both in a cup of cold coffee,  dried them with my heat gun and adhered to the card.
I do enjoy  a lovely cuppa with my friends...Green Tea does the trick for me.
Lots of treasured memories  spent with friends over a cuppa.
