My 2Crafty Design Team December Post part 2

.Wishing you and your Family a Merry Christmas

I have created 2 cards for my 2nd project.
I enjoy making cards for Family and Friends.

"Peace"   & "Noel"

"Peace"
I started with white cardstock for the base, then built up the layers one by one.
I placed a mask down and inked in random spots,
added pieces of embroidery thread and then stuck down strips of torn paper and
pieces of washi tape. I primed the chippie with gesso, let it dry and inked it with
 Versa Colour Gold ink.
I added gold stickles to the little star.
I then cut a mat for the  tree, stuck the chippie to the mat and then
stuck it on top of the layers.
Peace was painted white and glued down.
2Crafty Chipboard Pieces I have used:
"Noel"
I started with white cardstock, place it into an embossing mat and run it through my Cuttlebug..
I placed a mask down and inked random spots and added some thread.
I cut a mat for the tree, glued  the chippie to the mat, and stuck it to the card.
Noel was primed with gesso and inked with Gold ink.
2Crafty Chipboard Pieces I have used:

My last  layout is one you may have already seen.
I am Guest Designing over at Orange Paperie & Co during December.
This months challenge is a Colour Challenge
Gold, Silver and White.
I chose to scrap about one of my favourite times of the year.
"Merry Christmas"

I have used some gorgeous 2Crafty Christmas Chippie pieces,
torn paper strips, stencil, ink, thread and vellum to build layers on this layout.

The Holly Tree, was primed with gesso, let dry and inked with Versa
colour Gold Ink.  I then wrapped gold and silver stranded thread around the
tree like  tinsel and added some Pearls.

Merry Christmas is covered in Ranger Gold Ice Stickles.
This adds a nice glittery Christmas feel to my layout.

How cute is this little Prancing Reindeer.
He is covered with Gold Ink.

Joy is covered with Ranger Gold Ice Stickles.
These little words are perfect to place on your layouts.

My 2Crafty Design Team December post

This is the 1st of my 3 Design Team projects over on the 2Crafty blog.

Merry Christmas Wishes to you and your Family
 Hello Everyone :)
Janice here today.
Its December and its almost Christmas.
Its the perfect time to create using the gorgeous 2Crafty
 Christmas Chipboard pieces.
My 1st Layout
"SEASONS GREETINGS"

To make this parcel I used a thick piece of cardboard and covered it with paper.
Using the same paper I cut 2 different size triangles and stuck them across the bottom.
I then wrapped the whole piece with embroidery thread. I added this gorgeous chippie
piece to adorn it and also added 3 chippie tags.

I love this gorgeous Heart Charm chippie piece.
My parcels are always wrapped an given with lots of love,
so I thought this was perfect to add to my gift.
I primed it with gesso, let it dry, then Inked it with Gold Versa Colour ink.

Gifts always need a To and From tag.
I have used washi tape to cover 2 of the tags
and I added a  Jingle Bells Rub On to cover the other tag

Seasons Greetings was primed with gesso and then inked with Gold ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
I will have more to share tomorrow.

Hello all and welcome to December

White*Gold*Silver
Now it doesn't have to be a Christmas layout as such but most of us have done Christmas ones.
Now onto our Guest Designer for this merry month.
I would like to introduce you to the very talented
Janice Nicholls

Hi there, I’m Janice Nicholls and I live in a small country town in Cummins, South Australia.
I started scrapbooking in 2006 and my 2 beautiful children and family all feature in my work. My style is ever changing. At the moment I love double photos, grouped and layered clusters and white space.
I also like to add layers to my background using stencils, gesso, mists and inks.
I scrap mostly 12 x 12 layouts. I enjoy trying new techniques, not always successful, but it is fun trying.
I have been very fortunate to have been on some fabulous Design Teams and have had my work published in magazines.
I am honoured and thrilled to be Guest Designing here at Orange Paperie & Co for December.
A big Thank You to the very talented Kim Ewins for inviting me.

More Exciting News To share

I am thrilled to have been invited to join the Design Team for
Scrap It With Attitude

It is a social scrapbooking/craft group on Facebook where you get to share your work, ask questions and learn all things paper crafted related.
Cover Photo

A Big Thank You to Amanda Sousa for inviting me,
it is such an honour to be on the fabulous  team.

As the newest Design Team member it is my turn to set the  November Challenge

When we scrap we tend to look for that perfect photo......but what about that imperfect photo? The one that is slightly blurry, has the wrong light, or is out of focus etc. We all have them and cannot bring ourselves to delete or scrap them. The picture does not have to be perfect to have special meaning, it may be the only one you have.
My challenge to you is to simply  scrap that
 "Imperfect Photo" ,
and capture a memory for the future.

Sharing my 1st Layout as part of the SIWA Design Team
{Treasure Forever}

This photo was taken by my daughter of the 3 of us, and it is slightly blurry.
I love this photo... My Beautiful  Mum, Myself and my Gorgeous Daughter Sarah.....3 generations.
How special and I think well worth scrapping.

I have used some beautiful 13Arts paper...Thank You Lindy Gillespie
Mists, stamps, tissue tape, Blooms and lots of 2Crafty Chipboard.

I would love to see you play along and share your layout on the Facebook site.
Give it a go....follow the "Scrap it with Attitude" link, join the group and have some fun.

Thrilled to share my 1st Design Team Layouts for 2Crafty

I have been busting to share this very exciting news with you all.
I am super excited to be on the 2Crafty Design Team.
A huge Thank you to Di Garling and Vanessa for inviting me.
It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of  this amazing team.
Vanessa is incredibly generous...the 2Crafty chipboard is just gorgeous and so easy to create with.
********************************
Today I want to share with you my first 3 layouts all featuring the amazing chipboard.
1.
{Look Around}

 2Crafty Products;

I covered the chipboard with a layer of gesso.
When  dry I dipped the tip of my paint brush into the gesso and daubed it onto the chippie pieces to add some texture.
I love this old fence piece.
Using a dry brush I dipped it into the gesso and wiped it across the chippie leaving some of it raw to give it a weathered look.
This pack of mixed buttons are fabulous.
I have used 3 on this layout. Each one is coated with gesso.
Once dry I used a black zig pen to add the outline and the stitch marks.
The buttons are great to add to clusters.
Hearts are a trade mark on most of my layouts.
 I love these funky Hearts.
I coated the chippie with gesso and once dry I wrapped stranded thread around it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 2nd Design Team layout.
{happy Birthday}
2Crafty products;
This shows the 2 different ways I have covered the chipboard.
To get the dark colour I pushed the Butterfly into the ink pad... Versa fine Black Onyx
The Celia's Flourish frame and Parisian Border I coated with a layer of gesso and once it was dry I lightly daubed the ink pad over each piece.
Chipboard is very versatile, this is a piece I cut off the end of the border and added it to this cluster.

 I love this loopy font.
Here I have used happy as part of my title.
I have inked it the same as the butterflies.

I have added a cluster of prima flowers, a bunch of rosebuds an placed a Funky heart covered with Tim Holtz tissue tape on top.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My 3rd Design Team  layout was created  using some gorgeous 2Crafty summery pieces
I  created this  for the No. 95 case file over at CSI  as part of my October Special Investigator month.
{Summer Days}
2Crafty Products;

I glued these little chevron pieces onto my layout.
I dipped my finger into some gesso  and randomly wiped  over the pieces.
I LOVE these little 2Crafty Seagulls.
Just perfect for my beach page. I have used 3 different sizes on this page

Another perfect addition is this title.
"Summer Days"
I have added some thread under the title and glued it down, then added some gesso the same as I did for the Chevron Bits. I wanted it to have a weathered, white washed look.

I hope I have inspired you to get some 2Crafty chippie onto your layouts.
Pop over to the 2 Crafty blog and see what the other talented Design Team have been creating and sharing. We would love you to become a follower.
