 My page for the May Inspiration Challenge over at Twiddleybitz

Be inspired and join in on the challenge to win a prize. After looking through my Twiddley pieces I came up with this page, inspired by the first scene you see in the clip, with the old window and the two chairs either side of the lady (3 maple leaves), I also listened to the words to the song and got my title. I used paint and crackle paint to get the weathered effect on the frame. I printed 2 photos and cut a small section from one and added it to the maple leaf..

 I've been playing with this Twiddleybitz Fantasy Frame for awhile. Had an idea of what I wanted to create, but it took me much longer than I though it would. I printed a large photo to cover the entire frame allowing for it to be set back into the (box) frame. I then measured, scored and cut so it all went into place, (a bit tricky) not perfect by any means. I stuck it all down. I let it dry overnight and  using a sharp kraft knife I cut around the edge of the frame, I also used a file to finish it off.. I inked the edges and added all the bitz and pieces. Among the seaweed and shells I have added some Twiddleybitz small card scrolls which I cut in half and  pieces from a Twiddley tree.  I'm happy with the way it turned out..
I don't usually do Off The Page projects, but I have really enjoyed trying something different and playing with the awesome Twiddleybitz pieces.

I have used lots of Twiddley goodness on here, banner (part of), card scrolls, love word, heart, and an ornate flourish.
I have used some beautiful Pion papers and a old Prima flower from my stash, and the little angel button is from the lovely Mary.

My first page for the month of May at Twiddleybitz as a Guest DT.

 Using a beautiful Twiddleybitz flourish, a corner piece, small scrolls, alphas and a name plate. I cut the end piece off the name plate and added it to a hidden journal tag as a pull out handle. Also used some gorgeous Prima flowers and little resin birdhouse and my usual distressing and stitching.

I have used some beautiful Twiddleybitz leaves which I covered with gesso and when dry I added white paint with my finger, then layered them with pop dots.

I also used a Crafters Workshop Brick template and sprayed it with glimmermist..

This is my 1st Off The Page project for my Guest DT spot at.twiddleybitz.

I have used a Filigree Shadow Box, Farm Yard Bag (tractor), Outback Signpost, Outback Wheat Bind, Itty Bitty Alphabet, Barbed Wire, Picket Fence, and Rusting Powder.

 The close up show more detail, Wheat Bind- painted with gold paint, added black flecks with a pen and then cut pieces from the photo and glued to the back, Picket Fence and Barb Wire- used rusting powder, Tractor- used rusting powder, Signpost- I added a piece of wood to the post piece and used  rusting powder around the edge

I enjoy a sketch challenge, but I must admit when I first looked at this I wasn't sure what to do. After some time I decided to rotate it clockwise and I used the top 6 squares as my photo and the bottom 3 as my title. I also used a negative twiddleybitz alpha sheet for the background.

Guest Designing

I am sooooo excited, happy and honoured to be asked by Nic and Andrew to join this amazing team for April and May. This is my 1st Guest DT spot, so along with my excitement comes a little nervousness.
Twiddleybitz have so many talented and creative ladies, click on the Twiddley link to have a look and be inspired. I .have been busy playing and creating with the  beautiful Twiddleybitz products.  .
Finally something to share..............

The Twiddleybitz products I have used are:
Diamond Overlay Single Photo, ( i smeared gesso around the edges and when almost dry I inked it with a script stamp)
Wave Banner, ( I used part of the banner, used my finger to smear a small amount of gesso onto each flag then did the same with the ink colours then  lightly stamped it with a script stamp)
Bag of Hearts, (left it nude...I love nude chipboard)
Musical notes, ( inked them) .
These product can all be found over on the Twiddleybitz ning.

A  big thank you to Tiff for helping me  photograph this layout better.. My camera is set on  auto and that is where it stays. Tiff suggested I try a different setting /white balance and wow I cannot believe the difference between the two. Thanks, much appreciated Tiff,  I'm so grateful for your help.
