February Sketch - the Scrapbook store- super kid

Hello!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

This is my take on the February sketch over at

I have been watching Di Garling's video tutorials and absolutely love what she creates.
She is very talented and creates the most gorgeous work. Click on the link to see her work.

I decided I would give the MM thingo a try
.....and  this is the result.
It is much harder than it looks on Dis videos.

I gessoed the background, used the negative piece of the 2Crafty alpha set as a stencil and sprayed  with  Glmmermist to create my background. I  adhered all the spare 2Crafty Alphas, gessoed over them and sprayed randomly with mist and water then dried with my heat gun.  I randomly stamped over the Alphas and 2Crafty circle pieces.
Hmmmm MM background finished....I'm not sure I like it.
I've  decided I'm Janice of all styles...Master of none.
But I did enjoy having a play.
I have used several fabulous 2 Crafty Chipboard piece

This is the fabulous sketch.

Thank you to those of you who do stop by and take the time to leave me a lovely comment.
Each one is read and truly appreciated.
Hope you all have a great day.

Janice xx

Fabulous page, love the textures.. and MM is something I find you need to do a bit of each layout just to see what happens.. art journals are good to experiment in, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences!! hehe! You are a wonderful scrapper and it is good to do many styles in my opinion!!

Well, I think you did it really well! Don't stop doing it - love that you've used alphas in the bg....& it really does tick what I call the girly grunge look:):)

Love your venture into the MM style Janice. I agree, it's not as easy as it looks, but you've made a great start. The soft misting with the chipboard and pops of red, look great with the photo, as do the alphas with your darling school girl. Lovely work and thanks for the inspiration :D

Way to go Janice and I guess we will never know if we like it or can do it unless we try. I have tried it I do like it but I am not sure it is my style. I am much more comfortable with a CAS approach. I do however love it when I see mm layouts and I think this one of yours is wonderful I love the colours. Great job....
