Its the beginning of a new month...July....which means new challenges.
Design Team member Wendy O'Keefe had set the challenge this month at Scrap it with Attitude.
Create a Vintage/Heritage themed layout.
The layout doesn't have to have a heritage photo but the layout, card, mixed media etc. needs to be vintage.
Here is my take.
{FAMILY}
I am still using up some of my old stash.
This is a very old piece of Basic Grey paper which I still love.
The Family photo didn't have a date but after talking to my Mum & Dad we think it was taken in about 1949. It is a photo of my Dads Family taken when he was about 14. I love these old photos but sadly with no date and nothing written on the back we are not sure why or where this photo was taken. Note to self; Journal on your scrapbooking layouts to record the story and memory.
I don't have many photos of my Dad when he was a young boy so I treasure this one.

What a precious photo and yes I have some too from my Mum and a cousin with no date but a vague description of who is in the photos, nevertheless they are still very precious and I love the vintage feel to your layout.. love the washi around the edges and the flowers too!! Crikey July already.. !!

I can see why you love that paper and its perfect for the photo. I'm a bit fond of the tags as embellishments as well.
I left a comment, but I don't think it works when I do it through my email. Anyway I think this is just fabulous, I am a bit of a fan of vintage. Love your colour palette and the flowers and threads and the little family in the corner. What a precious photo. I have a lot of my Mum's photos that unfortunately don't have the details on the back either :(

Gorgeous Janice. I still love that Basic Grey range and have a couple of pieces I'm hoarding. Such a special photo and it would be great to have a few more details about the people and the occasion. It reinforces the importance of our hobby. Love your work :)
Beautiful page....love this vintage one! The details so lovely! Awesome that you are diving into your stash...sometimes that in itself is inspiration enough!! ;-)
Love this vintage style layout. I think I have that paper too. I love BG... the tape looks fab and I love the flowers you used. Perfect layout.
