Hello Everyone!
This is how I solved Case No 109 over at CSI.
{Story time}
This photo popped into my mind as soon as I saw this case. I know its an oldie, but I love it.
Its not the best photo, but scrapbooking is not always about the perfect photo, its about the memory.
My Dad reading a bedtime story to his grandies.
How I solved it
The Scheme- all 5 colours.
The Evidence- book pages, make a little book, silver accents, stack something (paper layers).
The Testimony- Journal about reading.
The journaling-
The memory capture her is so special....I love it!.
My Dad, reading the kids a bed time story.
Not sure that Matthew is actually listening but he looks pretty happy to be there.
Sarah has always loved books and reading.
Her Birthday gift has always included a book of some description.
A weekend visit from Gran & Pa was always pretty special.
They loved to jump into bed with their Pa and listen to him read them a bed time story.
The little Golden Rule Books were a favourite.
Short stories and easy to read with lots of pictures.
He could even skip a page or two and no one noticed.
Story finished...time for bed now kids.
Thanks Pa and Goodnight.
We love you.

Yes I agree, the memory of the photo and not the quality of the photo is what matters more.. Just think how special the photos of our grand parents are, and even though those photos are tattered they are oh so priceless... Love your layout and the journalling is special.. great take on the challenge..
Love how you have solved this case. The background paper is perfect and I love the composition of the layout with the journaling to the side and added paper bits. Fabulous!
naaaaaaaw.
tis a bit cute!!
Gorgeous page Janice and such a special photo and sentiment! These are truly special moments that must be captured and kept for a special reminder! Love the frayed layers....and your journalling down the page! Super!
This is sooooooooo BEAUTIFUL!! LOVING the colors and love love love the way you added the journaling!!!!!!!
Oh such a precious photo and charming story. I love the design and the quality of the photo doesn't matter in the slightest. The background paper is perfect for the book theme and the little book is gorgeous. Love the whole thing :)
Sometimes we just scrap the crappy photos too because it is a memory we want to record. It is one of the things I love most about scrapping. I love what you did with this one but it was the story that really touched me. You nailed this one Janice :D
great page and i do love your story and journalling
