White With 1 Sarah

Are you ready for a new challenge?
Why not try out the  White With 1 challenge
The criteria for this month is
White + Brown + Doodling
My Creative Team page
{Sarah}

I am not a doodler, well not on my scrapbook pages anyway.
I was playing around with a few ideas..
I have done a couple of other pages using this criteria but wasnt overly happy with them
this was a real challenge for me, but I still loved doing it...Thanks Mel
.this is my 3rd attempt at a page for this challenge
and it actually came together quite by fluke.
I decided I would  print a photo onto an inkjet transparency, so away I went.
..BUT..
.when it came out of the printer I realized I had printed it on the
wrong side and it wouldnt dry.
..So...
.. I  got  a piece of white cardstock,
flipped the transparency onto it and rubbed it onto the cardstock.
.....this is the result and I quite liked it..
. its probably not in the right spot but I went with it anyway...
.added a bit of doodling around the  edges, and through my clusters
and around the buttons and all finished.
Click here to see what the other CT girls have created.
Hope you find some time to join in.

Thanks for dropping by my blog.

sapsasa cricket

My page for the  March 1st sketch at Stuck Sketches
{sapsasa Cricket}
I love this Twiddleybitz chipboard word, "cricket".
.Perfect title for your pages.
1.Here I have covered  "cricket" with gesso, using the tip of my finger.
 2. I outlined it using a black pencil.
3. Then matted it onto black cardstock and fussy cut with a sharp craft knife.
Hint: when cutting keep your knife in the same place and move the paper around...
.I still need some practice, but found this much easier and has a neater finish.

Thinking outside the square here with this Twiddley piece.
It is actually part of the Broken Fence,
I have cut off two pieces and used as the cricket wickets.
 HOWZ' THAT!
The cricket shirts have stars on them so the Twiddley stars
were perfect for my page....again covered with gesso
and outlined and coloured in with a black pencil

Here is the sketch.
.A great sketch for multi photos.

Thanks for all the love lately, really do appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

Grain Of Sand

This month  at  Twiddleybitz  its all about Chipboard Words and Phrases.
I had a play with this one
"For Every Grain of Sand A Story Is To Be Told"

The phrase is rather large, so I cut it into sections to fit my page.
I added inks to most of it and the
" Grain of Sand", I covered with gesso and sprinkled sand over it
Visit the Twiddleybitz ning and have a look at  what the DT girls have created.
Will be back later with more..

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week.

valentine cards

Valentine  Cards....... DT  creations for Twiddleybitz

3 Cards made from a  12 x 12 piece of Bazzil Cardstock
I painted the chipboard flowers with white paint,
then added Kindy Glitz to each petal
and added a pearl to the centre.
The chipboard heart, I pushed it onto a glue pad and added glitter.
( I have learnt my lesson with glitter and did this all outside
.and continually washed my hands, so as not to get it on anything)
The little chipboard hearts I embossed using my Cuttlebug,
inked them and added a scrip stamp..
Using a white pen I outlined each card and
using a circle template I outlined the circles.
The little white Hearts are left over pieces from a heart punch.

This filled in my Friday afternoon very nicely.
Hopefully more scrapping tomorrow.
Next week is full time work again,
not much time for scrapping as I like to scrap during the day.
Have a wonderful weekend.

She is......happy to be home

 {She is......happy to be home}

Using up some old Rub Ons from my stash.
Sprayed each spot with Tattered Angels glimmermist and added some matching colour embellies.
I have used different washi tapes to mat  the photo and used a Kaisercraft script stamp on the background.
Love this happy snapshot of Sarah, straight off the camera....
she loves spending time home during Uni holidays.

loves finding sea shells

 February
New Challenge for this month is
WHITE + PINK + HEARTS
<3 finding sea shells

Something a little different for me again....
I used a Fiskars stencil to draw the hearts, slightly moving to add several lines.
I then added a thick layer of Kaiser paint inside the heart shape
 and while still wet
I added Tim Holtz clear Rock Candy Crackle over the top,
and set it aside to dry overnight.
Using my kraft knife I cut out around the hearts and they curled up
so it was the perfect place to add my embellishments.
The piece of paper behind the photo is embossed with hearts,
(but unfortunately doesn't show up very well).
I did this by opening up my embossing folder,
laying it on the cardstock and rubbing over it with scissor handles.
The pink around the edges of the page are torn strips of washi tape.
I altered the photo using Photoshop...
I changed it to a Black&White photo, then brought the colour back into her jumper.

Click here and see the Creative Team layouts.
Hope you find time to join in and share your creative pages with us..

Thank You to my New Followers
and
Thanks to all of you who stop by and  take the time to leave me such lovely comments.

Have a great weekend.
