My last Design Team Post for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello Everyone!
This is part 2 of my last Design Team post for 2Crafty.

My 2nd  share is ....

"Congratulations"

2Crafty Chipboard Products used;
Esther Vine
Fanciful Butterfly
Card ATC Embellishments
Card /Invitations
Card Sentiments - Congratulations

These Fanciful Butterflies are gorgeous.
Eight pieces per pack and 3 different sizes.
I added the pattern by putting the chippie butterfly into an embossing folder
and running it through my Cuttlebug.
To add the colour I first  rubbed on some light purple gelato, added some water
and using my fingers rubbed it to cover it all. Once it had dried I chose the
dark purple  gelato and ran it over the raised embossed pieces. I loved the effect.

A close up of the gorgeous Esther Vine.

Now this piece is  simply gorgeous
I used the Esther Vine to frame my photo.
I used 2 purple  gelatos and some water to colour  this stunning and delicate flourish.

I chose Congratulations from the Card  Sentiment Pack  fo
Sarah's 21st  Birthday layout
Gelatos were used to colour the chippie sentiment.
Check out this amazing chippie piece at 2Crafty, under the 6x6  themed section.
There are so many to choose from.

Thanks for stopping by.

My last Design Team Post at 2 Crafty Chipboard

Hello Everyone!
2Crafty Design Team June Shares.

Hello Everyone, Janice here with you today.
Sadly this is my last post as a 2Crafty Design Team member.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2Crafty journey.
Creating with this gorgeous chipboard and being amongst such an
amazing team of talented girls has been  a dream come true  for me.
Thank you Vanessa and Di for having me on the team.
My first share  is called.....
"a moment CAPTURED"

 2Crafty Chipboard Products used:
Funky Hearts
a moment CAPTURED
Mini Trees
Grass Clumps

I love these mini trees and the grass clumps have always been a favourite piece of mine.
The mini tree was left raw and inked with several layers of bronze Versa colour ink.
I  smeared gesso onto some of the leaves.
The grass clump was inked with lots of different coloured
Tim Holtz distress inks and touches of gesso.

This is one of the special moments Jayde Norwood captured during a recent photo
shoot for my daughter's engagement.
This Chippie title  "a moment CAPTURED" was just perfect. It was coloured with
Bronze and Gold versa colour inks.
The blend of the colours  matched the paper really well.

Every layout of mine has my trade mark,  a "Heart".
I love these Funky Hearts, this was simply inked with Gold ink.
It was adhered using a pop dot to add some dimension and to be able to tuck
elements underneath and around it - the flower, paper layers and beads.

It has been an honour and a privilege to create with these amazing 2Crafty Chipboard
products and to be a part of such a wonderful team of inspirational scrappers.
I am ever so grateful for the opportunity.
Thanks again Vanessa and Di for everything.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave.

 Love
Janice

"Smile"

2Crafty  Products used;
Decorative Rod Set 2
Funky Heart Swirls
Doodled Frames
Word Circles Set 1

Loving hearts as I do, I couldn't resist these Funky Heart Swirl chippie pieces.
They come in packs of 4 and each piece is different.
Here I have coloured a pieces  of the Heart Swirl with white paint and a touch of
pink Ink and tucked it into the flower cluster. All the other chippie pieces were coloured
with White Paint. You can see the bottom edge of the Doodled Frame, part of the
Decorative  Rod Set, which is just gorgeous and I have used a word from the
Circle Word Set 1 as my title for the layout.

Another close up of the Chippie pieces.
Funky Heart Swirl, Decorative Rod Set and the Word Circle Set 1.
Isn't that Decorative Rod Set piece gorgeous, I love it.
A little cluster to finish off the layout.
Here I have added a piece I snipped off the Doodled Frame
and a piece from the Funky Heart Swirls.
Well thats my shares for the month of May.
I hope you feel inspired to add some of this wonderful chippie to your next creation.
I will be back again in June with my last Design Team share.

 "together"

2Crafty Products used;
Beaded Heart Borders
ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars
Mini Family Icons
Word Circles Set 2

I love these Mini Family Icon chippie pieces.
Each one is coloured with  Olive, Gold and Topaz Versa Colour ink.
I tied a piece of embroidery thread around the girl.
I snipped the word 'together' from the circle and tucked  the circle pieces
into the cluster. 'together' is coloured with green Bazzinks.

The Beaded Heart Borders are new pieces and are just perfect to use as layers
on your layouts. Here I have used 2 pieces and layered them together.
Each piece is coloured with Olive, Gold and Topaz  Versa Colour Inks and adhered
 using thread and glue.

A close up of the cluster, showing the Beaded Heart Borders, the outside from the
Circle Words and the ATC Tiny Hearts which were coloured with gold Ink and
places randomly on the layout.

The 1st of my May Shares over on the 2Crafty blog.

May Design Team post for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello Everyone!

I created this layout quite awhile ago for OUAS.
As part of our Design Team work at 2Crafty  we are allowed to share a layout that we have already shared.
So this is my 1st share for the month of May on the 2Crafty blog.

"Dear Mum"

2Crafty products used;
Leafy Shrub Set 3
 Moroccan Panel
Chunky Hearts

May is Mothers Day month.
I created this layout about my beautiful Mum and journalled her a message.
She loves her garden so I decided to add a big bloom cluster with a Leady Swirl flourish
for her also. I coloured the Leafy Swirl with  some white embossing powder to add
 some dimension to the chippie.

I have used the chipboard as a stencil to created more layers to my page.
I  snipped  away the outside border of the  Moroccan panel  and then cut it into 3 different size pieces and tucked  each piece under the photo.
I coloured the panel with two different shades of purple acrylic paint.

Hearts are my scrapping trade mark, almost every layout has a heart somewhere
on the layout, either chipboard, doodled,  stencil etc.
This big Chunky Heart fits perfectly amongst the cluster and is ideal for adding some
journaling to. I used white paint to colour the heart, then daubed a sponge lightly
into purple paint and daubed it over the Heart. I have used pop dots to adhere and to
add some dimension. Also by adhering with the pop dots its easy to tuck elements
 underneath and around it.

I will share another 1 tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a fabulous weekend.

May Mood Board at Jot

Hello Everyone!
I saw this gorgeous mood board over at Jot magazine.....I loved the colours and had to play along.

Gorgeous. One word to sum up this month’s Mood Board. This month Jot Girl Jodie York has pulled together the most gorgeous Mood Board filled with hot pinks, teals and with a retro feel
 Here is what I made.

"Be Positive"

The hours and hours of hard work and practice paid off Sarah. You did so well.

I say it every time I know but I wish I could photograph the white cardstock so it looked white.
Using the gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard  word "Gymnastics"  a heart and arrows on my layout.
Having a play with gesso, texture paste, stencils and gelatos. More practice needed!!!!

Thanks for  having a look and for any comments that you leave.

May Kraftboard over at Kraft+

Hello Everyone!

May Kraft board challenge at Kraft +

[The Boys Room}

I was inspired by the colours,( the colour tones said vintage to me, that's why I scrapped this photo of my fathers bedroom. He shared with his 3 other brother and oh if those walls could talk I'm pretty sure there would be lots of stories to be told), the flowers, the dangling beads and twine ( I used embroidery thread and let it  dangle )

Something a bit different for me again, had a bit of fun....until I used the remember stamp....I sat for quite a few minutes pondering the will I, wont I, will I. I decided yes, had a practice and it worked perfectly, feeling quite confident I inked up the stamp placed it ever so gently on the layout,....yep right place, then gave it a firm press, peeled it back slowly to reveal that only half had worked....Oh NO!....inked it up again, lined it up ever so carefully and pressed down again...guess what it  did exactly the same thing again. Feeling over it by then I slapped some more ink on and sat it back down and presses firmly....and if you look closely you can see that it has been stamped 3 times because although I tried to line it up, I was always slightly out. ...adds to the grungy distressed look I suppose.  I was disappointed and was planning another page for the challenge but Mum assured me it was okay. So here it is.

If you have some free time over the weekend, why not try this gorgeous Kraft board.
Pop over to the Kraft + blog and see all the amazing design teams inspirational creations.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Layouts created using Simple Stories Papers- "I AM"

I was kindly asked by Lindy at Sheoak Craft Cottage to create a layout using Simple Stories "I AM" papers, so she could do up a Kit and sell at the escape2create (e2c) retreat  (March 2015).

The girls ordered lots of new stock for the retreat but sadly it didn't arrive in time.

They decided  not to do up a kit using my layouts so they had some papers to sell at the retreat.

I just wanted to  share  the layouts I created using the Simple Stories - "I AM" papers.

"I AM"

 " I Am happy "

 " Lucky & me "

Thanks for stopping by.
