Vanuatu Holiday

Hello we are back.

We had the most amazing 8 days in Vanuatu..... Port Vila and Tanna.

So many wonderful, exciting, fabulous and humbling experiences and memories.

"S" White With 1

My Creative Team inspiration for the May White With 1 challenge.

This is the 1st layout I created, but after seeing a layout VERY similar with a similar colour palette on Facebook I chose to create another LO for the challenge (Post below).

However I still wanted to share this on my blog.

"S"

 I made this card using the leftover pieces.

After seeing a layout by the very talented Heather Jacob on face book in April,

 I actually felt sick and couldn't believe how similar her layout was to this layout I had created for my Creative Team, WW1 May challenge (sounds silly...and it probably wouldn't have worried me so much if it wasn't a layout I had created for my CT work...people on CT/DT  will know what I mean)

Thanks to Heather for her reassuring words that there are so many scrapbookers today,

 lots of different styles and when there is a palette and evidence

 it is difficult to come up with something really different every time.

...she also said..."Please don't worry".... think I need to remember these 3 little words.

It was just a coincidence that these 2 layouts were created at the same time.

I hope I have inspired you to join in with this months challenge at White With 1.

Hi Everyone.

I feel a bit sad as I post this Layout today.

This is my last Creative Team layout  for White With 1

I had been playing along for 6 month and I loved the WW1 challenges and when I saw the opportunity to try out for the Creative Team, I really wanted to apply,

 but I must admit I had lots of self doubt thinking my work wasn't good enough...

I left it till the last minute ..still thinking will I, wont I, will I, wont I....send.

I remember the OMG moment when I read the email from Mel to say I had made the team...

 very,very excited and honoured.

.6 months to start with, then another 6 months

yes, I've been on the team for 12 months, where has that time gone. 

I have really enjoyed my time and journey on this amazing team. 

A big thanks to Mel for everything.

I will miss you all.

Stuck Sketches

 I usually get some help when photographing my Layouts.

Thanks Smudgee.

This Layout almost ended up in the bin.

I started with white cardstock...added inks, stamps, templates/stencils.

I added the layers and photo,  then rummaged through my ribbon stash 

and pulled out this piece and when I  placed it on the page it gave it the lift it needed.

Thanks Sarah and Mum , it would be in the bin now if it wasn't for you.

Practice makes perfect they say...well I've got lots of practice to do.

White With 1 have a fabulous challenge  for the month of April

the beautiful white and yellow flower was in a package I received from  the lovely Jess Mackenzie

 A Twiddleybitz Chipboard Heart, resin and paper flowers, Kaisercraft tags,

washi tape and embroidery thread

 A beautiful Twiddleybitz Butterfly

 this was the perfect addition to my layout and was given to me by the beautiful Melinda

I also used a Twiddleybitz Small swirls Overlay

and I was inspired by the  brilliant  Leeann Pearce to cut it in half and add it to my page.
